Performance
- The speed in DDR5 has a great and obviously evolution which enable the performance started at 4800Mhz and even can scale to 6400MHz. It is a 50% increase if compared with DDR4 3200MHz.
Power saving and a better power management
- DDR5 standard working voltage has been reduced from 1.2v in DDR4 to 1.1v in DDR5 which means its around 10% power saving if compared with DDR4. What’s more! DDR5 memory module highlight a on board PMIC (Power Management Integrate Circuits) for effective system load management. It helps to manage the power required by the various components of the memory module. This makes for better power.
On-Die ECC
- DDR5 features on-Die ECC (Error Correction Code), which designed to offloads the system’s error correction within the DRAM chip. It improved the reliability and stability significantly.
Stronger Structural Composition, Better Efficiency
- DDR5 increased banks and length by doubled from DDR4 that improves data bus efficiency and consequently reduces the number of read/write to success on the same cache data line.
